Action required to ensure you receive Microsoft partner communications

  • Announcement date: May 26, 2026 updated June 12
  • Workspace: General
  • Impacted audience: All partners

Details

To support the reliable delivery of communications to partners, including business-critical notifications, we're clarifying how email notifications are issued through Partner Center. We’re sharing this clarification because we’ve seen instances where partners missed time-sensitive notifications due to role-based accounts not being fully enabled for email delivery.

Assignment of roles, such as Global Administrator or Billing Administrator, enables access to Partner Center. However, role assignment alone doesn't ensure you'll receive Microsoft communications. If the designated role-based accounts aren't configured to receive emails, you might not receive compliance and business-critical notifications, which could result in missing deadlines or required actions.

Next steps

Recommended actions

  • Review your primary contact email in account settings on the legal information page and make sure it's up to date
  • Ensure designated accounts (global admin and billing admin) are configured with the necessary licensing to receive email communications
  • Ensure Partner Center verification email addresses (that is, maccount@microsoft.com) are identified as safe senders in your email platform
  • Review these Microsoft Learn articles to get step-by-step instructions on how to set up the email configuration:
  • FAQ for roles, permissions, and workspace access for users
  • Set up a Microsoft Entra Tenant to sign in to Partner Center
